Americans always lie in advertising and Gary Hoyt was an advertising
executive before a boatbuilder. Obviously the boat is less that 25 foot
long.
How could it be any different.
Don’t go by silly rulers and such, for example nautical miles vs
statute miles varies by quite a bit (20%+) in particular if you include
various countries, that is not nearly accurate enough. Obviosly the
boat is AT MOST 25 FOOT - and probably more than 24 foot if you don’t
ask a salesman.
My 6’6" bunks are 6’1" for example - there you have it - almost 20%
short.
I would say your slip fee should be based on 24 feet unless you feel
generous and allow for Gary Hoyt being a somewhat honest manand pay for
the “promised” 25 feet.
