Looking for a carbon fiber spinnaker pole (balanced yard)

Before I talk to local fabricators I thought I’d check to see if there are any carbon fiber gunmount poles (balanced yards) out there looking for a new home. For my Freedom 36 the critical dimensions seem to be a 4 inch diameter at the middle and an overall length of about 12 feet.

I understand that the F36 and the F38 used the same sailing rig and that the F32 used the same gun mount system so any could be a donor.

Thanks in advance

I have a Freedom 32 and am looking for a spinnaker pole as well. I believe mine is 18’ and 4" in diameter the entire length, which makes it very heavy. I haven’t used it yet but I’m concerned that it’s too heavy for the gun mount.

Lynn if you have the gunmount pulpit then you are fine.

I believe you will find that your yard will be much longer than 12 feet. More like 18 - 20. I’m sure someone on here will have an exact number but to get a ballpark measure the foot of your spinnaker.

My F25 spinnaker pole is aluminum. Each end has a block for the clew line, and a ring for the centering line and rein.

Thanks, apparently my method of measuring short lengths and summing up for a total was flawed. I went back with a rolling wheel measuring device and walked the wheel parallel to the stored aluminum pole (balanced yard) and the end to end result was 18 feet on the nose.

Thanks again for catching my error.

I have one off a 40/40. Have to measure length.

Where are you located and price. We have 40/40

I’m in Newtown CT. It is 14’ long and about 3” diameter.

It is extremely light. But on closer look it is aluminum not fiber. I am parting out my 40/40. So I have everything.
