I am looking at the manual and re-rigging the gun mount.
I am not certain which blocks are used for which lines.
I had been using starboard lines to control the starbord end of the
pole, pole extension line through the aft pulpit block, to the block on
the gun mount, then out, clew through the fore pulpit blocks and
straight out to the ring (through a block at the end) with a snap
shackle.
Same for the port side.
The manual does not specify which forward block to put the clew and
pole control lines in.
Should we be crossing lines at the front? What gives.
All the pictures in the gallery do not show the actual line and block
set up…I checked.

Am I crazy? Wrong? Missing something important?
Any help?

Both pole extension lines run from the eyes at the ends of the poles to blocks
on the gun
mount sleeve and then down to the blocks at the base of the pulpit. Both lines
run from
the base of the pulpit back through fairlead eyes to the starboard side of the
cabin top.
Both of the clew lines run from the clews of the spin to blocks at the ends of
the poles,
and then down to a second set of blocks at the base of the pulpit. From there,
they run to
the port side of the cabin top. The pole extender lines may be color coded, red
and green.
Then, the reins run directly from the eyes on the ends of the poles, back to the
cockpit.
Hope this helps.
