Has anyone replaced the outhaul on their freedom 30? It looks like
both the wire and the line need replacing and since both are inside
the boom I haven’t figured out how to do it. Where does the outhaul
usually run. On my boat since it doesn’t have a spinaker it runs to
the spinnaker halyard jam cleat but since I plan to run a spinnaker
halyard I am going to have to find a new home for it. Where does
the outhaul usually run? Since my boat doesn’t have a spinnaker
mine runs to the spinnaker halyard cleat but since I plan to get a
spinnaker that will have to change.
Also there is a mount for a 1 1/2" diameter pole at the end of the
boom. Is this standard and if so what is it used for. I use it
with a pole to hold up a custom tarp that is used at anchorage but
wasn’t sure if it might have had other purposes.
