You can always use Mast Boot Tape instead of rubber boot.
Not an expert and might be mis understanding. Are you refering to the tracks that the hatch slides on to open? I found some tracks you can buy online. My plan is to fix some damaged fiber glass and then use the replacement tracks.
I think Rob is talking about the sliding cover. As far as slides, I noticed they are broken on most F21s, mine included. It looks like the area gets stepped on and plastic slides can not take the weight. I fixed mine by using an aluminum profile of the same dimensions, picked mine up at Home Depot
Guys, The slide pockets on either side of the top hatch are good but dirty. My question is with the “yellowed” and worn curved fiberglass panel that slides over the hatch. It has an easy bend going athwartships but a straight fiberglass panel would not work out. The actual fiberglass roving or cloth is now at the surface with the resin coating having been deteriorated. A simple fix to make functional is just to sand and re-apply a resin coat. My thinking was this panel was meant to be transparent to let light into the cabin, and that feature, if intended, is gone. A coat of white paint over the resin would fix the cosmetic issue. If no other suggestions are submitted, then I will take that approach.
The other concern is to find a adequate rubber boot for the mast base - mine is there but cracked. If I chose to repair it, it may fail later and that would require mast removal again

I don’t think transparency really matters, you still have the side ports and vertical part of the hatch for light. Think best is fix this as you described. As far as the boot, I suggested earlier Mast Boot Tape. At some point I had to reinforce my mast due to worn out tabernacle and my rubber boot could not fit. I used the tape and it worked just fine
Oh, but the gunmount spinnaker is SO much fun. You can do a broad reach with it. I’ve even seen the F21 video made by Garry with the spinnaker BACKWARDS, driving the boat to the rear. Handy for staying inside the starting box.
The four pictures you posted show the spinnaker pole in place. What happened to it?
The slide hatch; I sanded down and through the frayed fiberglass cloth and got into more solid fiberglass. I then did a coat of resin over the whole thing and it looks much better.
