I have this thing (see the ref). Brandname is Quick. Although it’s
Italian it still works after 4 years. I mounted two plugs to hook up
the remote on the foredeck as well as in the cockpit. The plugs are
located just inside a hatch, remember, it’s Italian stuff, so don’t
count on it’s watertightness. The wire goes out through the fore
hatch or the cockpit hatch. Must say that I seldom use the cockpit
position to drop or lift anchor, not even when singlehanding.
It has an integrated chain length counter that can be installed
afterwards. A magnet in the chain wheel and a small sensor glued
underneath. A button for up and for down and a lit LCD panel to show
the length of chain that’s out.

Has anyone bought and installed a hand-held remote control (from
the
cockpit area) for an electric anchor windlass? I have the foot
controls at the bow but there are times when I want to be able to
use
a hand-held remote control to raise/lower the anchor while
stationed
at the helm. What did you buy? Web site address? Jim F>
