About managing dishes especially when cruising…

If you keep your largest pot in the oven, you can collect your dirty
dishes there. When it is full, or when you need the dishes, you can
“run the dishwasher”. The pot is also our dishpan. That way they
don’t collect on the counter or in the sink. We have a F30 and do
alot of cruising; big help have sink and counter clear.

I wonder for those with F30 (Mull design) how far and how long they cruise? Mostly coastal? Anyone ever go to Bermuda, for instance?thanks— On Mon, 11/10/08, mbb05055 <mary.bigelow@…> wrote:From: mbb05055 <mary.bigelow@…>Subject: [FreedomOwnersGroup] Re: about dishes…To: FreedomOwnersGroup@yahoogroups.comDate: Monday, November 10, 2008, 9:54 PM

We have a F30 and do alot of coastal cruising. We may not go all that
many miles but we like to go for several weeks at a time so we have
all sorts of tricks to keep logistics manageable. We live on the
coast of Maine and there are zillions of places to poke around. This
summer we went a little further, up to Saint John New Brunswick and up
the Saint John River. From there we zigged out to Grand Manan Island
which is in the middle of the bay of Fundy and then home again (on
Penobscot Bay) I think the circuit came to 500 miles or so. It boils
down to a series of day sails. Can actually be fairly strenous as
there are lots of things to hit, so hand steering etc. We find we
often travel two or so days then hang out for a day or so then travel
on. We are rarely out of the sight of land and there is generally
some kind of cove or harbor near by but that doesn’t mean that there
is a store or fresh water or other services handy especially the
further east you go. Boy, the boat does so well when you get into
chop and swells and such like. And since it is just my husband and I
it is great having a boat that is designed to be sailed short-handed

Feeling quite confident about getting to Grand Manan (and having made
friends there too) we are now eyeing the coast of Nova Scotia (!)
