Your boat is very nice, and I’m sure Doug is enjoying it.
He has done more repairs to it, and paid the fee for sending it to
himself.
I guess when I said DEVIL boat is because I am frustrated, as I have a
sailor coming from Houston, to come and teach me to sail a bit on Fri,
and will be here for 5 days. Also maybe another couple who have a Freedom.
I like my boat and think I have a good boat w fuel that is dirty.

Lola,
Does everyone have long underwear? The weather (temperature)
in these parts has been a bit nippy. Herm

I always enjoy reading the upgrades you do to your boat because the
purpose is just a bit different than most. I lived aboard my Freedom
36 for 7 years so I know what you mean by “condo” approach. I love
my little F30 and yes I’ve made some enhancements. Not that they
were needed but just to “personalize”. You’re right the shipping
cost made the purchase on the suface seem a bit idiotic…that is
until you see whats available in Asia and its either wildly
expensive too or just uninteresting. Plus I’m a “Freedom disciple”
and no Freedoms within thousands of miles!
I just added some new batteries. Now I have about 365 amps of ships
batteries. Don’t know why actually! The weight I just added is
propbabaly offset by the improvement of the Kiwi I’m thinking of
adding. I just shared with Al that I’m considering a new paint job.
You see the problem I have with being so far away is that I have no
one to stop me from all these crazy expenditures! Following Al is
simply a bad example! He encourages me on! My wife gave up a
long time ago! Shes convinced I’ll have the most precious Freedom on
the water and its my goal to make it so valuable it makes no sense
to sell or move up. Hmmmm. A Pilot House 39 is catcing my eye.

Some cruising friends of ours got their hull painted while they were
in Costa Rica. They said the job was done very professionally for
about 1/2 the cost in the states. maybe it’s time to take your new
boat sailing
