Re: F32 Spinnaker

No.

I bought a used one from a sail company out of Tampa. It was great and a quarter of the price for a new one.

I have just bought a 32 that has no spinnaker. Does anyone have one in
good shape that they would like to sell?

To expand on this search, I was wondering what the concensus was on
spinnakers for smaller Freedoms (especially 30/32)? I’ve been trying
to figure out if those that have them really use them much. I spoke
to one F30 owner who told me it caused so many “family” arguments he
quit flying it (though he still wasn’t ready to sell it). Our boats
previous owners, Fargo and Nang said they chose to sail wing and wing
and it was just fine. Also what is the preferable type to use? I’ve
seen both the standard spinnaker poled out and a free-flying style.
And should I look for a used one online or from a sail loft what size
should I look for? I always enjoy reading what works (and what
doesn’t) of this forum. Thanks all…

Light air, down wind, the spinnaker really helps on my freedom 36/38

I have a well-kept spinnaker and pole from my '84 F32 that I no longer use due to alterations in the bow pulpit by the previous owner. Pics are on the yahoo Freedom site, under F32 spinnaker and pole, or the like. Make me an offer.

When I purchased my '84 F32 in 2005, the spinnaker had never been out of
the bag. Once I went through the learning curve of rigging, with the help
of a friend, I find that I use it quite regularly. It’s easy to raise and
douse and adds significantly to the downwind performance, especially in
light air. I use it when we have a fairly long run. Moreover, with the
unique pole arrangement you have a large range of sailing angles. It’s
really quite eye catching, too. It does take a few minutes to rig the
pole, but once it’s set up, it just takes a minute or two to deploy. You
can leave the pole rigged along the portside lifelines when not in use.
Good luck
