Larry I have just come back from the USA today after ten days with my daughter in New York. This is why I readvertised that I was still looking for a F33,we even visited Mark Edwards at Freedom Yachts in Rhode Island.Mark gave us some of his valuable time and was extremely helpful and even gave us a factory tour unfortunately they do not have any sailing boats in build at present we were very impressed however.Could you send me a full spec sheet of your boat and if possible some photo,s if you have a digital camera . I have details of boats in florida but they are a little pricey and i can get to New York easier.
Regards Jon Davisl

Barefoot Child is a 1982 Freedom 33 Cat-Ketch. The masts on this boat are
free standing carbon fiber, which allows for easy movement along the side
decks. The cockpit is quite roomy with easy access to the weel stearing,
lines, and companion way. The original wish-bone booms have been removed
and replaced by traditional booms. All lines are lead aft. There are teak
decks, hand rails, and toe rails.

Below decks the main salon and v-birth are much more roomy than most 33 foot
sailboats because of the wide beam. There is a teak and holly sole, 7
opening ports, and ttwo cealing hatches. There is an L shaped galley with
ample storage for dishes and provisions, a large sink, ice box, and 3 burner
stove with oven. The Nav station has a large desk and two shelves for
storage. There is a quarter birth that doubles as the seat for the nav
station. The dining table can comfortably seat 5 or more. The head has a
sink with shower, under counter storage, a large drwawer, and a cabenet
above the counter for storage. Across from the head is a hanging locker.
The forward cabin includes a large v-birth and a hanging locker. There are
also shelves on either side of the v-birth, two opening ports and an
overhead hatch for plenty of ventilation.

Equipment List:

Fully Battended Main Sail with Bat Slides
Fully Battended Mizzen Sail
Harken Main Traveler - new in 1999
Barient Winches
Lewmar Rope Clutches - new in 2003
Edson Wheel Stearing
Bow Sprit with anchor roller
Delta anchor with Rhode
Shore Power
Life Sling
Man Over-Board Pole
Cockpit Cushons
Cockpit Table
VHF Marine Radio
Pressure Hot & Cold Water in galley and head
Hand cold water pump in galley
3 burner propane stove with oven
23 HP Yanmar Diesel
Heavy Duty Alternator
Batteries / battery charger
Garhauer Crane
Sun Shade
Instruments- depth/speed - new in 2003
Wind Speed/Direction
Lazy Jacks
Fairclaugh canvas boat cover

Condition - Like all 20 year old boats, there are probably things that you
would want to re-do. However, overall the boat is in good condition. We
were planning an replacing the head liner this year. The sail covers also
need to be replaced due to age and damage from heavy weather over the pasts
year.

The bottom was completely stripped of all paint and a barier coat applied.
Since that time an ablative paint has been used. The main halyard was
replaced in 2004.

The boat is currently stored for the winter with a canvas cover. This makes
getting exterior pictues difficult at this time. The boat will probably be
uncovered the first of April. If you would like interior pictues they can
be provided after this weekend. Asking price $35,000.

I’m curious if there were holes cut in the front of the mast to allow access to secure the gooseneck backing plate when the booms were converted or if there was some wraparound method of attaching the gooseneck and if you no if the conversion was done by Freedom?
Thanks
Alan
