Re: F35

I am looking very closely at an F35 that is for sale. Are there any F35 owners out there who have not listed their boats but are interested in selling.

Requirements: Shoal draft; excellent condition; electric winch

Thanks,

Alan Silverman

I have a 1996 F35 and am thinking of doing the ICW next year. I am considering changing my folding two blade prop to a three blade Max Prop. Is anyone currently using a three blade and is there a significant improvement over the two blade prop? What sort of speed/RPM do you get and would a 3/4 - 1 1/8 shaft taper fit the F35? Thanks for any help.

The three-blade will give you better performance into a chop. If you call PYI directly, simply tell them the shaft diameter and I am sure you have a standard taper. They will know what prop size/pitch for the 35 with a 3GM30F will be. Jeff Fred Molden <fredmolden@…> wrote: I have a 1996 F35 and am thinking of doing the ICW next year. Thanks Jeff…I am a novie and don;t know your terms: Who is PYI ?, How do I contact? What is 3GM30F Please explain. I am cosidering buying the Freedom 35. Do you like yours? What do you find great about yours, and what are some faults? The modified keel I am considering is where they cut off part of keel, and add a shorter lead one. I will try to send pictures of what I saw a boat yard doing…understand, this is not the boat I am considering. Thank you for your response. I have a variprop on my f-33 and am very
happy with it. It’s a custom size.
Curious why you took yours off?

3 blade whether fixed or feathering can be set up for a little more speed in forward ( less prop. slip due to more blade area ) and also a LOT more reverse. Necessary when you will go aground. If you cruise ,you go aground. With a three blade you have a chance to back off, with a folder forget it. Do get unlimited towing ins.for the ditch. Those that tell the truth all say they went aground coming down the ICW.Jeff Chale <jwchale@…> wrote: The three-blade will give you better performance into a chop.

Hi Lola, PYI imports the Max Prop to the US from Italy. You can find them on the web at http://www.pyiinc.com/. They are very friendly to talk with and very helpful. The 3GM30F is your Yanmar 27hp engine.
