There are some other sources for carbon masts available. You should
consider, if one of the range of wylie cats masts suits your boat
(www.wyliecat.com). As I remember, a Freedom 40 owner replaced his broken
spar with a wylie cat 39 mast.
Composite Engineering (www.vandusenracingboats.com) made a replacement spar
for a F33 cat ketch at a more reasonable price than GMT was offering. A
board member reported about this about three years ago.
Very interesting prices for carbon spars were recently quoted by
www.harryproa.com in Australia. They just shipped a bunch to Canada and the
US.

Tore, yep, nice boat indeed. As to the mast, do yourself a favor and replace it with an aluminum stick. The price difference is enormous. I purchased my main mast replacement in 1997 from Pole Products Inc, New Jersey, for $3500, delivered in Ft.
