To not have wet feet in in the cockpit - I insert 1 1/4 inch drain
plugs in the drain holes. West Marine has them (SeaFit Flip-Lock
Drain Plug, Brass, WMPOW# Z1887, Catalog page 335, $4.49 each). I
even use them when single handed especially in a following sea.

thanks - we have been using wine bottle corks, as it gives us an excuse to open a few bottles so that we have extras! We will get some plugs though.
