I recently purchased a 25’ Freedom and want to get a sail cover. Not
sure where to go to purchase one.I live on Long Island N.Y. Thinking
about making my own but also not too sure about that idea. If you have
any suggestions I would appreciate it

Try some of your local marine canvas folks first. This time of year
they may be hungry for business. A buddy of mine is getting a dodger
that would normally go for 2000 for about 1200.

If you go with mail order be sure that whoever you use has a detailed
measurement template. Along the boom it should have you measuring
circumference every few feet. A diagonal measurment should be made
above where the boom and last join. Another meausurement or two for the
mast. I’d recommend against a “universal” cover. It will fit poorly.
