Spinaker Yard Holder

Posted by harv1752 (harv17@…>)

There were several inquirys for a holder of the spinaker yard holder.

I wasn’t satisfied with the comml. one as they didn’t hold the end
within the boat. Since my slip is narrow and I didn’t want it to
hang up on the pilings I made on up. My friendly plumber gave me a
piece of 3" ID plastic pipe which I cut in half. Imade a hole in it
for a piece of 3/4" plastic pipe that my electrician gave me and glued
it in. I used an DB Inovators fitting to fasten it to the stantion.
It works out very nicely and hold the yard inside of the life lines.
I posted 2 pictures in the photo section.

Nice Rig. Looks almost ‘factory,’ and inexpensive. good job!

I like that, too. Let me ask you though, why do you have the “holders” on the
port and starboard sides of the boat? I usually bungee my yard to the left life
line. I don’t know why I secure it on the left as opposed to the right; probably
that’s the way it came.
