I had some moisture readings around through hulls so I decided to
take them out and check while the boat is hauled. They seem to be
“glued” in- has anyone taken through hulls out (mine is an '86)? I
could not get the triangular nuts loose at all.

What did you learn about removing the through hulls? I have to
replace at least one tgghrough hull in the next month.
Thanks for your input.

they are probably glued in with 3M 5200. If the fittings are bronze,
you can get them out by heating them with a blowtorch. Just heat them
enough to get the 5200 soft, so try turning the nut often. If it
turns, stop heating.
p.s. I would not go through the hassle of removing them just because
the moisture readings are high. you can’t do anything about that
anyway, unless you let the laminate or core dry for 6 months or so.
good luck
