Now that I almost have a Freedom 30 (one signature to go) it seems
getting a reasonable trucker is getting more difficult than finding
the boat. I need to move this puppy from Lake City, Mn to either Rock
Hall, Md or the Delaware River, PA/NJ. Does anyone have any
references or names of trucker/transporters that you have dealt with
or was highly recommended?

I have used “Deep Water Transport” of Washington, NC twice. Once from
Poughkeepsie, NY and once from Fort Lauderdale, FL to New Bern, NC.
If you are patient about when you move the boat, these folks will
give you a bargain rate. They try to combine their trips to minimize
their/your costs. I’d use them again when the time comes to move a
boat of mine. Herm

Bob,

The boat you are buying is ours!!! Bill Hooper told me that he will have
transportation options for you. We live in Kona, Hawaii, but spend part of
the summer in MN. We are leaving Kona for MN today and will be there
tomorrow morning–all jet lagged. We will not have any e-mail connection
until some time on Thursday is all goes as planned–and with Comcast, that
is expecting a lot. Are you coming out for the sea trial?

I have used Frank Pinder of Kentech Marine in Chestertown,MD a number
of times. I have found him to be both reliable and reasonable as to
cost.
