I’m not a materials engineer however
articles I’ve read on composites such as fiberglass hulls in boats using
the same resin as with carbon fiber spars is that tests indicate it actually
stronger after 20 years. How this relates to failure due to stress is not clear
but freedom spars have a good track record.

No one knows!
As far as I know You have to damage them to get rid of them.
