wrench for seacock

Anybody know the correct wrench size for the main body nut on the seacock for
the head
discharge on a Freedom 25? It’s a Perko and I believe it’s OEM for that boat.

My seacock nut is 2.4"
Have you taken out the two side screws to spray WD 40 on the ball?

Yes, I removed the side nuts and sprayed PB Blaster in there. I’m letting it sit
before
tackling it again. I bought a plumber’s adjustable wrench. It goes up to three
inches. I
guess I’ll find out if it’s sturdy enough. Once I get the main body nut off,
I’ll be able to see
if the seacock is salvageable. If not, I’ll remove it, which may break the seal
on the thru-
hull fitting, which means re-bedding it. By the way, I also have a depth sounder
instrument
which is non-functioning, but I believe the transducer (another thru-hull) is
ok. Are
transducers pretty much compatable with a lot of depth instruments?
