Y Valve for Mull F32

Posted by ABC (oldbrochan@…>)

Dear All,

I approached this board some months ago in an attempt
to identify the make and model of Y Valve fitted to my
Mull F32. Whilst much useful help was given I was
still been unable to identify the make/model of valve
fitted to my boat.

I am advised by the service guy that the valve is
seized beyond repair. The search is now on to find
a suitable replacement.

Can anyone help, using the attached photo as a
starting point?

I understand that the “throats” of the valve have an
internal diameter of 1.5 inches (or 38mm).

Grateful for any/all assistance.

David:

Except for the shape of the handle, it looks like it might be a Bosworth 95. See http://www.thebosworthco.com/valves_1.htm (They have changed the shape of their handles over the years.)

Al,

Many thanks for your rapid response.

Indeed the Bosworth valve does look very similar -
I’ll e-mail them and see if they can offer any further
advice.

In the meantime, many thanks for your assistance.

David

In my experience, all Y valves are exchangable,as all waste hoses on boats are 1.5 inches ID.
