Hello,

I have two, nearly new, wrap around sails for a Freedom 40 CC for sale. My daughter converted to junkrig and no longer needs these sails. They have two, lightly used, summer seasons on them.

She is asking $1700 for them. They are located in Maryland, just south of Baltimore. I will ship them.

Does your daughter keep her 40cc south of Baltimore? We bought one in Baltimore this summer (named Pelican) and are keeping it at Hartge in Galesville. It's got booms so I don't think the sails will be useful, although we're going to have to replace ours soon. We're interested to talk to other people who own them to learn all we can about the boat.

Do you own Terrapin? We saw you out sailing when we did the shakedown sail with the boat surveyor in July. He and the previous owner were gaga for your junk sails.

Yes, Terrapin is my boat; I remember you guys from this summer, you tacked near us, off Old Bay, and headed back towards Rock Creek.

My daughter was keeping her boat at our place on Marley Creek, but has since taken the boat up to Rhode Island.

I've sailed from Toronto to Florida and back to Maryland with my daughter on hers, and am really impressed with the Freedom 40 as a sea boat; fairly fast and very comfortable. I hope you enjoy your new boat.

Kind of off topic but I am interested in converting my Freedom 35 cat ketch to a junk rig. Do you have any information about the Freedom 40 that has been converted that could get me started. Many thanks!
