Narragansett Bay Get Together - details

Post by tnltracy »

Ok, finally found time to dig back through the thread and put together a simple outline of the event (as I see it, and feedback welcome).

Attaching an outline including a basic agenda, location and expected attendees. Looks like we're ~9 Freedoms.

Dinner at The Shack is a great time, they know how to make some great tacos!

Areas I'd like some feedback:
- dinghies to land - everyone good? We will be rowing a rigid classic Dyer, so I'll get my exercise
- Sunday Sail destination - we have a mix of boats from inside Narragansett Bay and outside, so thoughts on what may work well appreciated if we will stop for lunch as a group
- Meet and greet - thoughts on activities here? Any need to formalize?

anything I'm missing?

Thank you for the document, some info below to add:
my sailboat info:
F25 wing mast, #36 from Wickford RI

Sunday sail to Rome Point just north of the jamestown bridge is not to long and a good cove to swim anchor or raft up.
cheers,

Not sure I can make it, blew an oil line and I'm trying to get that fixed right now.

I hear you. No power at the panel returning to port yesterday, to took a tow in via Safe Sea. Hoping it's just a loose connection or fuse I can chase down next weekend.

Breakfast is always great at Slice of Heaven. There are also good fish places if you don't want the Shack.
We have a dingy and outboard so we can pick up people.
As was said before, it is an easy place to anchor with good holding and lots of room.
It can get a little bumpy overnight, and you will swing with the current which is not a problem with a good anchor that will reset.
Dutch Harbor is always one of our favorite stops.
