Re: Freedom 28 Cat Ketch Specs
Instead of the expense of wrap around sails or adding track to the mast, have you considered single-ply sails secured to the mast with Parrel beads? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parrel_beads

Re: Freedom 28 (UK30) cat ketch hull numbers
Some time since you asked the question.VeloFellow wrote:My 1981 Freedom 28 (UK 30) cat ketch is #112
I wondered if the UK builders were assigned starting with #100?
To those of you with Freedom 28 cat ketches or F30 cat ketches in Europe, how about year of production and hull number.
I know the Freedom 30 cat ketch was produced longer in England but curious as to how many and when.
The first Freedom 28 Cat Ketch I went on was #3 built by TPI in 1979.

Feronia (ex Saoirse, ex Hourriya) has the HIN FR28 107 5/11/80. As she was built in the UK I assume she was built in November, not May. Although marketed as the FR30, the works hadn't got around to using "30" - the glassfibre top of the centreboard trunk has "FR28 107" scrawled across it.
