Hi Peter,

it was a very light wind when I had Rockin on a beam reach using the spinnaker and we came up onto it probably due to boat speed approaching or even exceeding the forward component of the wind, i.e boat speed brought the apparent wind onto the beam.

I do like the idea of using the gunmount pole as a bowsprit, although for my mostly day sailing, I’m not sure I want (or can afford) another sail. It would cost almost as much as I paid for the boat :roll:

Another video of Rockin under spinnaker in Milford Haven. I also noted that my last video above was restricted and only allowed Vimeo users to watch. That has been fixed now. Anyway here is the new one:
