freedom M28
Does anyone have a source for propane tanks to fit the M28's locker? At this point I have to use 5 lb tanks or modify the locker to fit 11 lb..thanks, John
Re: freedom M28
I can fit 8 3/4"x 18" without modification

My M28 locker holds two of the Worthington 6lb cylinders, which you can still get from West Marine. I've also been able to get the old ones retested, although it took a lot of phone calls.

One suggestion.....if you buy a new tank, try to find one with the most recent manufacture date that you can. If you buy a tank that's been sitting on the shelf for 2 years, then that's 2 years less that you will be able to have it refilled before it needs to be retested or replaced.

Re: freedom M28
I ordered a pair for my M28 from Powertank in Lodi CA. They were the only one that had them in stock last year, although West Marine had them listed. Quick shipping, decent price.

Thanks for sharing what you found. I too have a M28 and am going to replace propane tank , lines, regulator and solenoid after she is on the hard. I have been using a Coleman cannister on my grill this season, and boiling water with a backpack stove.

Re: freedom M28
This is the dual tank selector arrangement I put in, works great.
On a related note, does anyone know why Freedom located the locker drain/vent hose in such a precarious location at the waterline. It’s right in the locker where all kinds of gear will likely sit on top of it. Seems like it would have been much safer to go to the transom, and a bit higher above the waterline (yet still lower than the bottom of the propane locker of course).
