Thanks Mark. I do intend to replace some or all of the waterline thru hulls next time I’m hauled out. I will probably go with Marelon to avoid electrolysis and zinc depletion issues. As for the seacock shutoff valves, I think the point of the ABYC recommendation was to address anything that would be submerged -while underway-, so anything close to waterline would require a seacock. I believe there are likely many boats that don’t meet that standard, especially pre-‘90’s boats.
