I'm seeking info / opinion / successful experiences with a finish for my cabin sole. I've spent the last 2 weekend cleaning, prepping and repairing little delams and dings in it. Now the big question: what should I put on it?
At all costs I want to avoid "slippery" and I don't intend to try for some sort of perfect finish. I just want it to look decent and not be a maintenance headache.
Have you used anything that works well?
(The front runner for me at this point is 2 coats of polyurethane made for floors. It's not "marine," it's just a floor finish from Ace hardware.)

Re: Cabin sole finish?
Find a finish intended for gym floors. It will be high gloss/low slip.

I've read nothing but good things about "Ultimate Sole", but I don't know of anyone who's actually used it (firsthand)

I do know people who used it and it works perfectly. However, I believe they went out of business, possibly because it became widely suspected that it was just gym floor finish rebranded.katorpus wrote:I've read nothing but good things about "Ultimate Sole", but I don't know of anyone who's actually used it (firsthand)

Used Ultimate Sole last year and still happy with it. Nice finish and good non slip.
