Hi All.

I’m going to need to replace the teak toe rail on my ‘79 F28, hull #4. It’s in sections between the lifeline stanchions. I’d like to replace with teak or composite. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

As I walked the dock today, I started thinking aluminum would do just fine, as well. Anyone made the changeover?

Ipe is a possible substitute. It wears forever and is rock hard. You will need carbide tools to work it. I have only used it for one small project, but it looks good and seems like it will outlast the boat.
