Well today I got a 1/2 day and winter is coming. Got the new Beta mounted on a platform on wheels in thy garage. Ran fuel lines to a 5 gallon tank, used a 5-gallon bucket to set the raw water intake in and fired her up for a 30 minute run. I had one wire crossed but figured it out and the Type C panel worked fine. At the end I poured 4 gallons of rv antifreeze in the bucket to protect the motor. Diesel is too darn expensive to keep heat in the garage all winter. I figured to repeat the process monthly for now.

Been slow the past few months. Refocus on house projects and winter.
Did start a new wooden Bowsprit to replace the old fiberglass one. Got my hands on a 1916 wooden grave marker that our Parks & Rec replaced. Saved the name and will have it pointed down. Anchor roller and windlass in the other side. Still need to router the edges before applying a few layers of glass cloth.

Yea information on his life has been hard to research without paying a site to do it. Will reach out to the Alaska Pioneers and see if they have anything.

The entire "Boat Project" has been very slow due to winter and work. Winter is done in April and I am done in April. 1 May is my retirement date and plan on spending at least 1/2 the summer working on the boat or RV'ing.

As for the grave marker / anchor bow sprit. I work 5 on and 4 off. My next round of time off I hope to router the edges (round over), sand the wood of glue and other stains in preparation of glassing up the structure.

Retired 3 weeks ago so time to work on thy boat projects.

1. Get all of the hull work done.
2. Get motor on the boat. May not be aligned but can do the fine tuning in my slip.

Had to head to Anchorage for more supplies. That $400 bottom paint becomes $900 after gas (650 miles) and hotel.
