Last summer I hit ground on my way to Block Island. I looked at keel the best I could with mask and fins and only notice some minor damage to fairing on the bottom of the keel. There was no water leaking into the boat so we continued sailing the rest of the season. I had the fairing repaired and just put the boat in last week to start the season.
I am now noticing some weeping from the aft keel bolt and the aft bilge support (see picture below). I have read other posts on this topic and I know it is a common problem.
So that leads me to two questions:
Can I sail the boat and deal with it this fall or should I pull the boat and have it repaired now?
I understand that the chop fiberglass might be wicking water from the bilge as discussed in another post. This might explain the weeping from the aft keel bolt but were is the water from the bilge support coming from?
