Hello All.
has anyone replaced their F36 Cutlass Bearing (I imagine the same for other Freedoms?) ?
My Freedom 36 has the Strut with the Cutlass Bearing.
- What size bearing ? Does anyone know where to get one ?
- Can you replace without removing the Shaft ?
- Any other comments/gotcha's
Any details, pics etc, would be appreciated.
Regards, Michael

Hi,
Have not had to tackle this myself yet. Might call these guys for the part and advice.

This is a neat tool for doing the job without pulling the whole shaft. No idea if the value is there to DIY v hiring it out. Would have to price it out.

Noticed a few other posts on this topic by searching “cutless” or “cutlass”. Did not see anything with much detail.
Keep us posted on how it goes.

Hi,
I replaced Dolcetto's cutless bearing in 2016 when I replaced the shaft, engine mounts and shaft seal. This is the model that I used on my 1987 F36/38.
