F40/40 Boom Vang Attachment Point.

Post by TonyB »

Well when we were reassembling everything after putting the mast back in the boat we discovered that the tang on the boom that the vang attaches too was loose. At first I thought the rivets had come loose inside the mast. But after further investigation and drilling all the rivets out we discovered it had broken into 3 pieces! I guess I will be having a new, beefier one fabricated.

I believe Rig-Rite has them for the Isomat boom, but it doesn't look like that's the boom they used on the F45. I would still check with them and see if they have one though, as it might be easier than having one made.

Thanks I’ll check. But thinking I may have a heavier duty one built.
