Stainless Dodger & Bimini Bows for Freedom 33

Post by whimsy »

Is anyone looking for the metal framework for a dodger and bimini? We have both available, as well as a very worn canvas top for the bimini that provides nice shade.

The bimini frame is 106 inches wide, and the dodger is 86 inches. You can bend them in and out somewhat, to adjust the width. You can even mount lightweight solar panels on top of the bimini, although that's not recommended for heavy-weather sailing.

$100 for the pair. We are in St. Mary's, Georgia, heading south in December. The image of the bimini, below, was taken last week.

What is the stainless steel rig hanging off of your transom?

It looks like a Monitor wind vane.

Thanks Geoff,

I'm always looking to learn more about the BIG Freedoms. My dream is to one day own a 33kc or a 39ph or a 44ac for a live aboard.

(Yes, that is a Monitor windvane framework on the transom.)

So...any suggestions for how to find a new home for the dodger and bimini framework?

By the way, we've gotten a few calls about the dodger and bimini bows, but the big question is, what will it take to ship them to your location?

So, just to help that question, here are some rough specs for shipping:

Bimini frame: About 9 feet wide, about 6 feet high, and 6 inches thick. Weight somewhere around 20-25 pounds.
Dodger frame: About 7 feet wide, about 3-1/2 feet high, and 4 inches thick. Weight under 15 pounds.

Greetings. It has been several years but worth asking. Do you still have the Bimini for sale? I am looking for one for my Freedom33.

Thank you.
