1983 DK For Sale

Posted by Charles Rush Arasim (crarasim@…>)

WindRush, 1983 DK #104 is up for sale.
She has a full compliment of sails. I purchased a new set of
Haarstick’s in 2004, they have 3 seasons on them. 100% jib, 200%
genny, spinnaker, and free footed main. Also have extra spinnaker and
old Shore main that is perfectly usable.
1984 Yamaha 5hp 2 stoke, starts every time and pushes her to 5.5kts,
with shop manual, extra impeller, and shear pins.
3 gal metal fuel tank, auto pilot, 300ma solar panel, good battery,
compass (replaced in 2003), deep telescopic swim ladder, harness
tether fittings in cockpit and on fore deck. Fenders and dock lines.
Tiller was refinished this last winter, has new cover and tiller
tamer. Main sail and spinnaker pole sleeve covers.
Custom built 2001 Triad trailer set up for both hoist and ramp
launching and retrieval, with portable gin pole for mast setting
included. It has never been in salt water and I repack the bearings
every year (spindles are cross drilled and have bearing buddies).
Tires are in great shape.
Replaced halyards and sheaves in 2005. All the rest of the control
lines are in ship shape condition and I will be replacing the jib
sheets in the next few weeks.
She is a solid and fast hull but has a few dings and bing’s that are
just cosmetic. She was originally a Great Lakes boat and has only
been in salt water once when I circumnavigated Santa Catalina Island
with her in 2004. Hull, lines, and sails were fresh water flushed
right after she came out of the salt.
Check out the photo album of the New Mexico F21.
Asking $6,000 OBO and I would be willing to work out delivery.
She has been dry sailed for the last 7 years and is completely dry
thanks to the New Mexico climate.
The only reason I’m selling her is due to my upcoming marriage and the
need for a larger boat.
