1987 Freedom M28 For Sale

I stopped by the marina today to inform them I will not be launching this year, but maybe someone else will set sail from Newington NH this season with my much loved Freedom 28. It’s a 1987 and if you are a member of this forum you already know about what makes this vessel special.

It has two sets of sails, new anchor, new manual and electric bilge pumps, and new dripless shaft seal. Only the traveler lines needs replacing, but I have them, I just have not spliced them yet.

It has a two blade Max Prop.

The anemometer is broken due to the crane crew who stepped my mast four years ago. The mast ring does not leak but a hatch does if shims are not put between sealing gasket and frame.

For more details about this fine vessel PM me.

My anemometer was broken. The cable snapped halfway up the mast, because it wasn’t disconnected at the step. It was a major pain, but I managed to snake a replacement cable down the mast. Tie a pull string to the masthead light cable, pull the cable up until the pull string shows. Pull the remaining anemometer cable out, solder an extension on, tie it to the pull string, tie another pull string to it and pull all three back down.
