I’m OK with June 20.
Hi, in the interest of not causing confusion let’s stick with our original plan for the weekend of 6/20 & 6/21 at Gloucester MA.

@Salacia - Hope all goes well getting boat ready to launch. Can see how it might not work out if getting down from Maine too. Despite FreedomFest being 5 weeks away, time goes fast.
Unfortunately Glory won’t make it either, we have a celebration of life for my mom that weekend.
Just checking in RE: Spring Rendezvous Attendence we are still trying to get ready with Aeolus just got main in place yesterday more to do, wife recently had shoulder surgery so somewhat on my own getting things done. I have to give her credit with trying thou.
Yes, FreedomFest is still going to Gloucester on Saturday 6/20/26.
Nova Vita, Aeolus & Schoodic are confirmed.
I am going to bring a dinghy but there is also a Launch available in Gloucester. Figuring we can decide on dinner in Gloucester or Rocky Neck.
A few others were tentative but life has gotten in the way. All understandable. Sometimes the hardest part is getting off the mooring.
After Gloucester Schoodic is going to continue on to either Scituate/Boston or Isles of Schoals/Portsmouth for a short cruise. Depends on weather and where the wind blows.
Awesome, got refrigeration up yesterday now to get water back on line
We have a mooring reserved in the inner harbor so are leaving the dinghy at home. Hoping to get an early start from Salem on Saturday. Cell number is nine-seven-eight-394-2474.

Nova Vita
All unfortunately Aeolus will not be able to make it this year we developed a significant oil leak which we were unable to get parts today to repair. We have been chasing problems as the new owners of a boat that sat for at least 1.5 years.
Looking forward to next meet up either individually or a group.
We are in the Merrimac dm for cell
On 6/20/2026 Nova Vita and Schoodic met in Gloucester for a terrific First FreedomFest.
Kudos to Walter, Tina and Joe on Nova Vita for sailing over from Salem downwind in 15-20, with gusts to 25. Pat and Wayne Schoodic opted for a leisurely motor trip from Beverly.
We all hiked over to Stage Fort park for a waterfront hike to see the reenactment of the relatively unknown Battle of Gloucester.
There was also a naval reenactment of the defeat of the HMS Falcon featuring local vessels, Ardelle, Lewis H Story & Denis Sullivan.
Everyone enjoyed local seafood dinners at Minglewood and is now settling in for the evening as the sun sets.

Hopefully we can do it again in the future.
Hopefully you are able to get the oil leak sorted out and get back underway and out on the water soon.
Go Aeolus !
Thank you Pat for organizing FreedomFest! We had a great time and you and Wayne were wonderful company!
Walter
I’m sorry that Glory missed it this year, but we only just got her up to Boston on Tuesday. We had our own adventure, will put it in a separate thread. We’ll be heading to Maine in mid-late August, keep an eye out for our big blue girl.
Over the winter we should see about meeting again next summer.
Hoping to get up to Casco Bay this summer. Getting off the mooring is always the hardest part.
