Continued on the ‘big clean’ of my 28 C/K (hull 4) yesterday. Harbor master isn’t going to be pleased when he sees the dumpster…
Anyway, we opened the ice box and found an awful science experiment growing inside in about 8” of standing water. The drain is stopped up, and even trying to run wire through, I couldn’t unplug it. I can’t seem to find access to the bottom drain-any thoughts?

Since it is hull#4 it is centerboard model and the icebox is on port side next to a companionway, right?
The drain is very much directly into bulge via short hose exiting into engine compartment. I took my box apart, so I don’t recall where the drain was exactly, but it terminated either into engine compartment or on top of fuel tank under sole. You won’t do much damage by just forcing the wire through the hole from inside of the box.
