I got one from Dave and he said the same to me for the F-32
camberspar.
The old one was fine but seized up and wouldn’t turn.
It seemed mighty substantial. I don’t know what the
issue with the size was.
The new one is rather robust. I am not sure why it is
bigger, but it seems to work anyway.
That is the way he is building them. And since he has very
particular opinions about things…well…we did it his way.
Not sure why…but the new one seems fine.

It is hard to believe that the camberspar on
Glory is undersized - it
is a wicked piece of aluminum and I wouldn’t want to get hit by it.
It’s also not exactly ‘light.’ - adding another 1/4" to one seems a
bit… arbitrary.

Ok so I can’t type it’s a F36/38. The spar is $450 plus shipping.
Waiting for an invoice from Dave Bierig. I If the last one lasted 20
years and this one is a larger diameter I look at it as a lifetime
warranty.
