Hello!
Delighted to see this group forming.
Where are the archives these days. The link at the old yahoo group is
broken. I sure hope they are around somewhere

Hi Mary,
the gentleman who was hosting the copy of the old, old Freedom-
sponsored archives also happened to be the one of the first who
suggested the idea of a Freedom owners’ group. After the reaction that
suggestion got, I think he may have taken down the site in disgust. I
haven’t heard from him since those days. As far as the
FreedomYachts2003 site, those archives are still searchable, and I
think you’ll find by this point that the same issues keep cropping up,
so hopefully the loss of the older archives isn’t too much of a loss.

To avoid losing the archives back when we
were trying to form a more formal owners group with some funding I downloaded
most of the archives. I then had my assistant compile them into pdfs just by
time period (and a special file just related to mast issues). When the owners
group never really got going I kind of stopped getting this organized. Its over
a thousand pages and around 15MB.
