Barient winch part needed

Posted by jackcarles (johncarles@…>)

Somehow I lost a part to one of the winches on my Hoyt 32 just as the
restoration project is coming to a close. I have Barient self tailing
23’s and the lost part is the socket into which the handle is
inserted. In the teardown literature I pulled down from the web it is
described as the “topcap”, part # 25-005. I have emailed ARCO in
Australia, but am hoping that one of you, by some miracle, has a
spare. BTW, Lewmar only has pawls and pawl springs that fit the
Barient winches.

Many thanks.

Would you please post those Barient winch part suppliers? I was lucky
enough to get my winches apart and back together without losing any
parts, but was worried about how to salvage the season if I dropped
something. That supplier list would be a great reference.

Thank you,

Larry Kraus

Jack & Larry,I have only one source listed for Barient winch parts, not two as I had thought. The previous owner of “Fantasy” provided this info to me over three years ago, and I have not had the need to contact this company. So, I hope they are still in business.
