I’ve just finished moving BlueJacket from the Chesapeake to Ossining,
NY, which is just N of the Tappan Zee bridge. I had a great trip and
returned home to pick up Sue, who is recovering from major abdominal
surgery. As of next week she’ll be cleared to be on the boat.

Anyhow, while at home I had a chance to update my video, photo and text
logs. If anyone is interested, they’re located at

Geoff,

I’ve looked at your pictres and they are fabulous. There is a wealth of information, however I cannot find the logs. Can you direct me to where they are? Also, how many months a year do you go sailing? I have other questions, but they might be answered in the logs.

Ian,

The text trip logs can be found by clicking on “Trip Logs” from the
home page at www.GeoffSchultz.org . In general we cruise 6-8 months
per year. This year we have a very reduced cruising schedule due to
my fiance’s cervical cancer surgery and her not being allowed onto
the boat for 6 weeks after the surgery. The good news is that she
should be just fine based upon the results.

We’re currently underway to Newfoundland. We just completed the Erie
and Oswego canals and are now sitting in the waters of Lake Ontario,
which is the first time that BlueJacket has been in one of the Great
Lakes. From here we’ll head down the St. Lawrence and then head to
Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and eventually end up in RI for the first
time in 8 years.

There are lots of photos and extensive videos of this trip. I hope
that you enjoy!

Great trip - we did that one via Champlain (the Erie was out
of action) two years ago in a trawler. Super hiking in the Gaspe. May have some
guides around somewhere!
