In the Files section of this site, there is a brochure on the CamberSpar jib. It is not specific to the 25, but may be of help.

Hi Simon-
I have what I thought was the only F-25 with a camber spar jib. The rigging is
very simple,
just a halyard and a sheet. If you need more info, I have a couple of photos
that I can send or
post.

Simon , Greg,
What advantages have you found with the camber spar jib over plain jib or genoa… I assume the foot is less that 6 feet.

Andre,
As yet I have not tried the rag which I think is attempting to pass as a genoa!

Greg,
I would be interested in seeing what this rig looks like. Please post some pics when you get a chance.

Hi Andre-
For me, the question is what are advantages of the camber spar on the F-25,
versus the
staysail on our old F-21. I haven’t used any other head sails. With the staysail
you had to
go forward to hoist/retrieve, and the sheets were ‘after thoughts’. The camber
spar can be
launched and lowered (most of the way) from the cockpit. It attaches to an eye
mounted
on the deck, so the sail goes down to within a foot or so of the deck. It uses a
single
sheet, and works nicely where we keep the boat now, which is the delta between
Sacramento and San Francisco. Some of the waterways are narrow, and the jib self
tacks,
so tacking is just a matter of throwing the rudder over. It seems to make a
pretty good
difference when using it as opposed to no head sail (the only comparison I can
make). I
just put a cover on the sail at dock. The only disadvantage is that it makes the
mast look
less ‘un-stayed’.
