I didn’t remove the foam on my F-36 (1986) cushions because the zippers
wouldn’t budge and I didn’t want to risk breaking them. I did take the
whole cushions to an upholstery cleaning company and they cleaned them for
me. They smelled a whole lot better after that.

Has anyone tried to clean the foam inserts in their
cabin cushions and if so, how did they go about this?
After lubing the zippers for a few days to free them up I washed the covers at home and they came out quite nice.
The foam I sprayed with lysol and brushed and air dried. The stains didn’t come out but it they smelled clean.
