Today I found a website for replacing cockpit cushions. They make
them for most model boats. I checked the prices for the Freedom 32
and they were almost $1000.00 for the set of 4.

Hello all,Just to let you know, the previous owner of Fantasy (F-40 CK) purchased a complete set of monogrammed cockpit cushions from Bottomsiders a few years ago. Unfortunately, after paying a little over $ 1000.00
for the eight cushions (some type of foam, no fabric) they quickly split open and discolored in the Mexico sun. When they tried to get Bottomsiders to replace the damaged and warrantied cushions Bottomsiders was not interested in honoring the warranty. I still have the damaged items, and they are very unsightly. I have had no direct contact with Bottomsiders and I’m only passing on what the previous owner had told me.

I have been personally acquainted with the various members of the
Coxwell family, who own C-Cushions in Rockport, TX for over 15 years.
I can vouch for their integrity, workmanship & quality products.
Their custom cushions run around $30 per square foot, and are made of
inch and a half, high density, closed cell ensolite foam that’s vinyl
coated. Mine have held up well since they were made in 1982. (I don’t
leave them out in the sun, however…when I’m not actively sailing or
occupying the boat).
Website says $1,014 for the 34.38 sq ft required for a Freedom 32.
website is ccushions (dot com)
Feel free to tell Bill Coxwell that I recommended him. I don’t get
anything out of it, I don’t have any connection with them, they are
just “good folks” with a good product…and sailors from waaaaay
back…
