Considering Freedom 21 "Emmylou" Hull #307

Posted by Sean Mulligan (quadmulligan@…>)

Hi Chris - thanks for the encouraging comments.
We’re planning a “sea trial” Saturday.
We were happy to see the LOA listed at 21’0" on
registration.
That is a critical factor at our marina here.
I agree that that the Vberth is for kids (I’m almost
6’).
Seems like plastic bins work well onboard.
We’ll let everyone know if we become Freedom owners.

Thanks, Sean / Vivian

Hey – I took a look at the boat on the site you
referenced and if the
claims of condition are true, it looks like a good
deal.
I bought my 21 in Annapolis last year for the same
price and feel that I got
a fair deal.
I love the boat particularly for its level sailing and
ease of
singlehanding.
I’m working on converting the forward section into an
organized storage area
because the berths are tiny for average sized adults
and really only
suitable for children.
I plan on some extended sailing in the Chesapeake and
want to distribute the
weight of stores evenly and avoid clutter in the main
salon.
Good luck on finding a 21 that fits your needs. Chris
