Corrosion in mast steps - how bad?

I’m looking at buying a 1980 Freedom 33 and am doing a self-inspection. I’ve found corrosion in the mast step collars (similar design to the deck collars, which are in better shape). I’m not sure how serious the problem is and am hoping you can help me.

Edit: new users are allowed only one image, so I’ve shared the worst section, on the mizzen mast.

Very impressive!
In my opinion, you’d better change the mast roots.
Aluminum that corroded is problematic.
For my Freedom 33, I made new parts out of glass laminate. I kept the old ones.
If you buy this Freedom, I’ll be able to send you two mast roots, but they’ll have to be shipped from France. Shipping costs may be quite high, but the rest will be free!
