Yup, me again!
Has anyone solved the problem of non-drainage of the side decks on their F-36? While on the mooring, and unless there is significant wind resulting in a lot of heel as she swings, her decks do not drain. The result is always unsightly after it dries. Of course if it was salt water maybe I could scrape up the residue and sell it as sea salt.

Freedom offered as an option, a set of scupper drains. It would not
be hard to retro fit your boat. Speak to Paul Dennis at Warren River
Boat Works. I can send you pictures if you wish. The scuppers are
1.5" flush head through hulls with a screen set at the low point of
the deck adjacent to the toe rail. The deck is not cored at that
location. A Shields rt angle fitting is used to run the hose above
the overhead liner in the aft berth to the transom area, where a
through hull is located on the lower aft quarter just above the
water line. The same is done on the port side.
Just be aware that these drains, especially in the starboard berth,
do not drain particularly well and will freeze and burst in the
winter. As part of your winter layup, you will have to remove the
water, add antifreeze, and caulk a cover over them. (another dirty
little Freedom secret.)

I didn’t solve it completely, but I minimized the condition by
drilling a few 1/8" holes in the aluminum toe rail as close to the
deck line as I could in the area where water collects.
