I’m installing Kato dinghy davits on my Freedom 35. I want to use the
dinghy cover when the dinghy is suspended on the davits. If anyone
does this, I’m curious how you run the davit lines through the cover.
It seems like I should do more than just cut a hole.

If you want to take care of this project on your own purchase a
grommet kit from a canvas supply place. You can also purchase one from
a marine store or sailrite.com but you’ll spend more money. Usually
the kit will come with some grommets. You’ll want to use brass or
stainless. The kits are easy to use. Should only take you 5-10
minutes. In the unlikely event that you’re near Portland, OR I’d do it
as a favor. I’ve got a nice heavy duty set of grommeting tools that
haven’t seem much recent use.
