It is time to downsize to a day sailor and to part with my 1986 Mull Freedom 30.
I believe the balsa core of the hull is saturated, so a sale is not in the cards. (My wife was right in 2013)
Assuming I can find a location that will allow me to part it out, and there is interest in parts’, I’ll do that. If not then it is off to the recycler.
Decision to be made over the next few months.
Code zero asymmetrical spinnaker?
Mast?
Tides Marine Strong Trac and batt cars?
camberspar?
Spinnaker system?
Portlights?
Raymarine below decks linear drive autopilot?
Lewmar vertical windlass?
Older Raymarine MFDs
doors and interior teak parts?
etc.
Any interest?

Time to get serious about disposing of Heart’s Desire.
I’m beginning to move parts from my Freedom to my “new” Marshall 22 and to part out what I can before recycling the Freedom. The more I take off the boat, the more the recycler will charge me for disposal, so there is that to balance out, but I’d rather the Freedom parts go to Freedom people who can use them.
Let me know if you are interested in any parts.
It’s time to eliminate my $300 + monthly moorage and then sell my condo slip there.
RVIVIAN,
I would be very interested in your spinnaker system and spinnaker as my Freedom 30 does not have one at all and I would love to add it to my boat so my downwind adventures are not so slooooow.
I would also be interested in any/all port lights you have as well as hatches so I have replacements if needed.
original deck clutches (someone put some weird after market one on mine and the halyards are always slipping), any rigging and blocks you’re not transferring over, let me know what you have!
My email is bluemeenie01@gmail.com the PM’s on the boards seem to not work very well.

The boat is pretty much intact. I installed quite a bit of added equipment that I’m beginning to take off, and some Freedom owners are planning a trip here to evaluate what they might want.
The spinnaker system - sail, pulpit, gunmount, spar and blocks are all available. I also have a set of fixed ports that are not installed as well as those that are on the boat.
All of the original winches and the rope clutches that were there when I bought her are available.
I have an 15" Autostream 3 blade prop that I can have a diver replace with the original 2 blade bronze prop and sell. It really helped my boat’s performance.
Teo-year old quarter berth cushions (blue) and a fancy spring mattress in the forepeak are available.
Make an offer for what you might want. I’m not looking to get rich, but everything that comes off the boat to go to fellow Freedom owners increases the amount I will have to pay the recycler to finish the disposal next fall.
Where are you located? Shipping might be prohibitive, especially for the gunmount stuff.
Note: F-30 Heart’s Desire is now being parted out at the Sailboat Yard of Lynden (Washington).
