I was rigging the head sail with the camberspar of a 1987 F-30 and
lost the bracket that holds the camber spar and sail to the headstay
overboard. Yes, yes I know—we should have rigged the sail on the
hard. Despite the cold Great Lakes we were able to convince a diver
to take a look for us, but alas, no luck. Does anyone know where these
items can be obtained? The season is short and we are near desperate.

The manufacturer has thoughtfully put an extra hole in this fitting
for fastening a lanyard to it to prevent loss the next time. Herm

LOL.I dropped the same piece overboard this weekend when rigging my Hoyt 32 and was going to post the question… :-)I also dropped the lock nut overboard a few minutes later but that was much easier to replace.

While dropping hard to replace pieces of the rig overboard I also noticed that the plastic wheel within the camberspar is starting to disintegrate. Anyone else see that on theirs? Is it easy or even necessary to replace? I cannot imagine that it has rolled properly in years based on the condition that it is in.

There was discussion about camberspar parts about a year ago. The
developer is still active and selling parts. I believe he is in
Pennsylvania. Cannot recall name or address but should be able to
search old e-mails.
One thing I learned is that the hole in the metal bracket is there to
secure it to the headstay so you are less likely to drop it overboard.
I personally use a wire tie above the spar. Patted myself on the
back several times this spring while trying to figure out how to get
the sail and spar together on the headstay.

There are 2 kinds of camberspar owners:
1)Those who have dropped this piece overboard
2)Those who are going to!
A new one (and any other parts) can be ordered from:

I think all of us have done such things at one time or another. You can
contact Dave Bierig in PA for the replacement part. It’s call the retainer
clip.
Dave’s Phone: 814-459-8001
Good luck
